happiness for life

my sister happy and i have our differences. a lot of them, in fact. i am always amazed how two people can be so alike and yet so different.

for most of my life, happy and i have been at odds with one another. however, this year has found us both back at home with our parents. it has been eventful, to say the least. but that is not what this post is about.

happy is an extremely talented person, especially when it comes to the arts. she even wrote songs when she was a little girl! we had a special bond when i was a baby and she was six or seven years old. one song she wrote was specifically for me. it goes like this:

lacey, lacey, lacey
please don't cry
your mommy and daddy love you
so lacey please don't cry

although reading the words without hearing the tune does not do the song justice, you can see a bit of the sweetness happy brings to life?


happy's birthday is today and i want to wish her the best day a gal could ever have. i hope the coming year brings you everything your heart desires. you have what it takes to change the world. you've already changed me.
