gravity

i have been in love with sara bareilles since the moment i heard love song. though i have never seen so you think you can dance i stumbled upon a youtube video that combined one of my favorite songs with the art of dance... dancing roles that hit particularly close to home.

the song is gravity and here is the video:

a truly brilliant performance, i think.

...tugs at my  h e a r t  and overwhelms my darkened memory.

just thought i'd share.

I'm just licking the tears off of my lips.

No one, save Jesus, knows the pain of addiction like the way a unique and beautiful child of God experiences it.

This comes close, I think.

Thanks for sharing a little piece of your pain, my Punkin.

Lacey, that dance was powerful. Its representation of addiction felt spot on, and I feel that I understand better the people I work with at the treatment center.

Thank you for sharing something so personal.

Lacey,
I Posted this on the recovery site after I saw it Live on So you think you can dance when it aired last year. I fell in love with it and cry everytime I watch it. It truly is an explanation without words.
